The grain in this apple wood bowl is mostly blonde with dark heartwood and streaks. There is an intriguing rippled pattern to the heartwood grain which gives it a bit of chatoyance. The bowl is 7.5" x 2.5" and is finished with food safe oils and wax and is comfortable to hold in one or two hands. This could be an everyday bowl for salads, fruit, nuts or other edibles, but the rippling will catch your eye every time you use it. The bottom is signed by the artist and has the wood species as well.
