Rare Earth Bowls is the studio of Pennsylvania woodturner Peter Jacobson. From his studio near Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, Peter creates one-of-a-kind hand-turned wooden bowls, platters, vases and hollow forms, primarily from locally sourced Southeastern Pennsylvania hardwoods and selective specialty burls and timber. His work emphasizes natural grain, unusual wood character and organic forms, combining functional objects with sculptural pieces. All work is one-of-a-kind, and solely produced by Peter.
