Manzanita Hollow Form

This hollow form is made from the root burl of a manzanita tree (shrub?).  The wood grain has warm tonal ranges through the reddish-browns and is marked by numerous voids, cracks, swirls, and irregularities to give the final piece enormous character.  These features, and the overall ruggedness of the wood combined with the refined form, amke it an attractive piece.  It is 6" high x 5.5" diameter.
