American Elm has a well defined grain structure and it shows off beautifully in this bowl. The heartwood and sapwood are both warm and inviting and intermingle with each other in an organic flowing manner that echos the bark-on natural edge of the bowl. At 12 3/4" round and 7" tall it adds visual impact to any room and is comfortable to hold in the hands. It is finished with food safe oils and waxes. It is signed by the artist on the bottom, along with the wood species.
