Jarrah Burl Vase

This show-stopping vase, made from Australian Jarrah burl, has raw elegance.  The natural edge rim, dipping deeply on one side, is reminiscent of teeth surrounding a gaping maw.  The body is a rich deep red tone with burl structured grain, and has a smooth flowing form.  It is as inviting to hold in your hands as it it to look at.  The smoothness of the outside and the comfortably curved outline contrast with the "teeth" of the natural edge.  The piece has heft, so the holder knows it is a substantial piece. 

This vase can be used for dried flowers or as a stand-alone decorative item (no water).  

It is 6" diameter x 9" tall and is signed by the artist.
