Although it is sporting two bowties, this bowl is not overly formal in its appearance. The richness of the black walnut heartwood is complemented by some areas of lighter sapwood, giving it an inviting feel that asks for more attention. While the bowties heal the structural strength of the bowl, it is most suitable as a serving bowl for non-liquids (fruit, popcorn, chips, etc.) to be passed around the table, set out at a party, or gracing a dining table as a centerpiece. It is 12 1/2" across and 4 3/4" tall, finished with food-safe oils and waxes and is signed by the artist.
